Best route into teaching English?
Hi guys,
I graduated in June 2014 in English Lit and I've been thinking recently of applying to teach English at secondary school level for 2016.
There seem to be so many options and routes into it though, I'm not sure what the best one would be.
If anyone here has trained to teach English and has any tips or advice that would be great!

Teach First, School Direct, HMC Teacher Training if you have got a first. If not, PGCE.
I did the Secondary English SCITT route with PGCE.
Don't get too caught up on the different names - School Direct/SCITT and PGCE all have very similar structures, assessment etc. Teach First is a bit different.
