Exeter Penryn Campus - Nightlife and Accomodation

I'm thinking of studying English and History at Exeter.
What's the clubbing like (are there at least 2/3 places to do so and are events held to places like Truro for uni nights out?)
Is there any accommodation that anyone would recommend staying in?

There's only one club in Falmouth, Club I but there's quite a few other places like Cribs, Mono and Fives to go too. There are student events at the Stannary on campus but I don't know of any student held events in Truro. I know it's difficult to get back from Truro as the buses stop around midnight from Truro to campus/ Falmouth.
There's only 3 options for accommodation here: Glasney Village (on campus), The Sidings (university accommodation located a 10-15 minute walk from uni) or private accommodation.
