DMU your community

Hi everyone,

Starting University may seem challenging and frustrating for some people, I know when I first started back in 2020 I was very nervous about meeting new people and going to lectures.

We have many ways where you can start your university experience early to make you feel more at ease when joining us this September, for example we have interactive online sessions which you can book onto to chat to current students and staff who are to find more about your course!! We also have opportunities for you to connect with current students through an online chat forum to find out what life at De Montfort University is like!! Back in 2020 I actually went out for cocktails with my friend on my course before starting our course and this really helped with my nerves about coming to University for the first time!

We want you to have the best university experience, we all know it can be frustrating moving away from home and becoming independent for the first time therefore through DMU community you will have the chance to get a preview of what being a DMU student is like and also maybe meet your potential course friends before starting!
