Scope after doing a pgce+qts course in stem subjects

I know someone who has got an offer to do a pgce+qts in London and wish to know is it's worth doing it, how good is it to get into secondary level/ sixth form level teaching in the UK? Any thoughts, suggestions, advice are welcome,

As they have an offer, I take it they are interested in teaching in England? There is a shortage of teachers in England at the moment, especially in STEM subjects, and so as long as you successfully complete your initial teacher training, the likelihood of getting a job afterwards as a secondary teacher is high. There is a bursary available for the course, if the PGCE has a secondary specialism in in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computing, Languages, Geography, D&T, English.
