IQTS PGCE numeracy/literacy test

Hey,

Can anybody share what the numeracy and literacy tests were like to get onto a PGCE course? I have my interview soon!

Literacy would be spelling, punctuation, grammar and comprehension. So, for example, identifying errors, choosing the correct spelling, being given a paragraph and asked to place punctuation, being given a text and asked questions on it to make sure you can understand what you are reading.

Hey thanks so much for this. I’ve seen this numeracy example before so hope it is similar. Heard there might be mental maths?! 🙈 Will try my best!
Wondered if there was anyone who has been through the process? Especially an online interview!

what uni will you be doing the iqts with? with warwick - the literacy piece was writing an opinion piece and the maths had questions like fractions, percentages etc. all the best

Hi! I had my interview a few weeks ago and can confirm the above, a small written piece and basic maths. This does not determine your place on the course, only what further help you may need if you receive an offer.
