Canon slade or runshaw

Hi! Canon slade is really close to my house but since I would be an external student I'm afraid that it would be hard for me to fit in. Whereas runshaw takes about 40 mins by bus(quite a huge drawback as I'm quite a heavy sleeper).
I've asked many people but they prefer canon slade as it is closer. But according to my teachers and what people have been saying, runshaw seems to be a better choice if I want to get better results and better uni.
Can someone tell me whether canon slade or runshaw is a better in terms of teaching, resources, and socialising?
This is incredibly late and I hope you where happy with whatever you picked, but as someone whose also from Bolton and currently studies at Runshaw, here's my take (in the hopes it'll either help you, or whoever else stumbles upon this page!)

Cannon Slade is a great sixth form, but you're in a very high-school esque environment. If you don't mind the religious requirements that surround it as well as the fact you'll be in an environment to your high school for another two years, go for it; the courses you take and such are the same at the end of the day, but one positive is that your actual courses will be much smaller and you'll have opportunities for more one-on-one interaction.

As a Runshaw Student (which is a conflict of interest LOL, I'm entirely biased), it's very different to a sixth form. You will be studying in an open campus with over 4500 students, many of whom do T-Levels or even 18+ courses which CS doesn't offer. You will be commuting 45 minutes to an hour a day (or like, three hours if you get the notoriously unreliable 820) and will be expected to complete lots of expected study. For reference, A Level courses only have 4 lessons a week lasting an hour an ten minutes with the rest of your time being spent on extracirrculars or engagement in your own revision. If you can moderate yourself and enjoy independent learning, Runshaw is the best for you.

I can't commend on University access, but Runshaw has some great pathways for things like MDV courses and Law which will guide you through the application process and bolster your chances of getting a place -- things like the Medical Society happen twice a week and are slotted into your timetable, so prepare to lose some frees!

Hope this helps, and I hope you're happy with whatever you picked.
