So I want to apply to UCL, Cambridge, Bristol and Manchester for medicine. For my 5th option, I would love to pick biomedicine or biology at Imperial because of the research facility. But since Imperial is v competitive, and my personal statement is geared towards medicine, is this a waste of an application?

if you are set on medicine, don't put a 5th option, unless you just want the satisfaction of receiving an offer. if you dont get any offers for med take a gap year and reapply.
