Why do I have to do maths and English if it’s my 3rd year at college

I’ve been at college for 3 years I’m 18 and 19 in January and my teacher says I have to do maths and English till I finish college. But I know it’s a waste of time as I’ve don’t 3 years trying to pass after gcse

You would need the GCSEs for pretty much most things you want to after college, be it uni or work.

GCSE English Language and Maths demonstrate basic literacy and numeracy skills. Without them, you're going to have a very difficult time trying to get into work or enroll into any particular course.
