can anyone show me like a list of English techniques if anyone has any? because I feel like I lack in that department- and repeat 'symbolise' for example.

here are a few I use frequently in analysis:
- repetition
- metaphor/simile
- pathetic fallacy
- anthropomorphism
- short sentences
- hyperbole
- anaphora
- sibilance/assonance
- oxymoron/antithesis/juxtaposition
- conceit

and in terms of analytic language, here are some words you can use!
