City & Guilds Maths Exams - Are the sample papers too easy?

Hi all,

I would like to know your experience sitting the City and Guilds maths level 2 exam.

I have a few number of learners who have completed their functional skills course and have done all the sample papers.

When the exam day comes, they all feel confident. But when we get the results, many have failed despite working really hard using the past papers and all the other available resources.

This is making me question whether the sample papers are too easy or the actual papers are harder.

Any experience will be appreciated.
