Mitigating circumstances applying for a masters course

Hello,
So i'm looking at applying for a masters course at a couple of places, but leeds is the one im really interested in. I'm currently in my final year of undergrad at a top UK university and last year i achieved a (high) 2.2. I got a couple of 2.1s in certain modules but the 2.2 was the average grade across the entire year. This was due to serious illness and some amount of caring responsibility within my family, and i have submitted a serious adverse circumstances form to my uni which should help in them deciding my final degree classification. This year ive been achieving solid 2.1s and am on track to achieve that when i graduate, but was wondering if my 2.2 last year will cause issues when applying for the masters and if i should tell leeds about the mitigating circumstances when i apply. They haven't given me a chance to provide references and they dont do interviews, so i won't get to mention it through that.

Does anybody have a similar experience, particularly when apply to leeds uni?
