Talybont court or Adam street gardens

Hi,
I’m going to study neuroscience in September and can’t decide whether to go taly court or Adam street. I was briefly in taly court last year and loved my room so much but did find it hard to socialise. Is Adam street any nicer? Is it easier to socialise? I am worried that Adam street is further away from the other accommodations, has anyone found that has had an impact on meeting people?
Thanks

Hi there! I lived in both Talybont and Unite Students accommodation so I'm able to help answer this I believe 🙂 I guess it depends on what you need - Adam Street Gardens is much closer to the city center if you prioritise shopping, but Talybont Court is much closer to the sports facilities if you were interested in that. My friends who lived in Adam Street Gardens were quite happy with how much they socialised - but I wouldn't say it would be much easier to socialise. I say this as the Residence Life Teams regularly hold events in university-owned accommodation, whilst Adam Street Gardens do not.

I wouldn't say that Adam Street Gardens will have an impact on meeting other people though! It's close enough and it's around the same vicinity to campus as other student accommodations near city centre. As long as you go to societies, stay active and meet people in your course, I wouldn't say it would hinder being social
