Is anyone willing to let me have a look at their personal statement?

For their masters, just for help really. Im stuck and just thought this was an idea, as I know other people have done this in the past for guidance.

statements for MA's in arts/ humanitites based courses would be really great as this is what Im looking at

And what would I need to do if you oblige?

Well you can but a masters PS is very different to an undergrad PS and there are very few of us who'd be confident in giving advice tbh (remember that most PS Helpers are still at uni although there are a few postgrads around the place)

Unlike undergrad PSs there's really no standard format for a masters one - lots of places ask you to outline your research interests rather than right a PS so maybe that's a good place to start?

You can have a look at mine if you like - search for my username in this forum with 'consequently' as a key word and you'll find it...

I'm one of the people mentioned by Bekaboo who had experience of postgrad PSs and applications and helps out in PS Help. Just scroll down the main TSR page, find the main PS Help forum, and then put your PS in the relevant subforum.

you could have a look at mine if you want. i've applied for an MSc postgrad tho. but i've got offers for my applications...so something in that PS must've been right... :wink:

Angelil, I would love 2 look at yours too, but couldn't find it when I did a search on here, could I message you or something?

Ive got almost 800 words now and nearly there. I reckon I'll do a bit more work on it this week and then put it in PS section sometime next week for review

*lol* to be honest, i've no idea why mine's popular, really. but for the record anyway, i wasn't told up front if the PS was really the deal clincher & i did have some help from the PS Helpers on TSR. :smile:
