Calculations involving F=Ma

Hey,

I was just wondering for the unit 2 exam for AQA a level physics do you need to know how to apply F=Ma and be able to solve calculations with it,

An typical question is one involving lifts ect.

I was asking this because I haven't actually seen a question like a lift one on any AS physics paper for AQA
