the only sensible thing to do is to make it legal and tax it

Keep it how it is, most are too afraid to use it which keeps murders of prostitutes lower than other countries where it is either legal/illegal
"yay" - prostitution and brothels should be totally legal. why on earth would you ban either of them? nobody is benefited by it. if you don't like it, don't have anything to do with it then.

lol are you honestly suggesting sex should be taxed? how would they do that? brothels? that's one opinion, but that would give the prostitution industry's power to the brothels and not the sex workers themselves if the prostitutes themselves can't determine their own rates

Yes Brothels would be ideal so the workers are safe
As long as no one is forced into it, if you choose to be any kind of sex worker then I think that's fabulous. It's your life, do as you please.

What's the difference between paying an escort for sex, and taking a girl out on a date and spending lots of money on her (food, gifts, etc) before she'll allow you to have sex with her? The answer is that there is no difference, all women are prostitutes, men ALWAYS have to pay for sex.

Income tax...

it isn't based on a wage. one day they might get £100, and one day they might get £0. if you mean brothels, then *that* is based on a wage, but not "prostitution"

What do you mean? If you legalise the profession of prostitution you can extract tax from legitimate income and potentially corporation tax from brothels...

You don't 'tax sex', you simply continue to tax income.

this was why I edited my post, because it seemed as if you were talking about "prostitution", not "brothels" - one is informal, one is formal.
It's their bodies.

I don't see that you can really go around telling women (or men) whom they are and are not allowed to have sex with, or what motivated them.

Mate don't. It's his/her "thing". I've never understood it, nor do I care for it. Every reply I've seen by that poster has a completely unrelated gif attached to it, usually of a "celebrity" woman.

Edit: oh yeah, thread. I'm a yay. If women want to exploit the anatomy that they've been given for profit then as long as they do it safely, wherein lies the problem?
It's going to happen anyway, make it legal, regulate it, makes it safer for everyone.

When a poster annoyingly attaches a gif to every damn post they make, they get noticed fairly quickly :colonhash:
