There are two dimensions. Imo socialism refers more to the economic dimension. The "left" refers to those that consider themselves socially on the left, you know the ones that consider themselves "progressive". At least that is how I understand it. I mean if you are for socialist aspects like heavy government intervention in the market, but believe say gay marriage should be banned, what are you?

Being a neo-Nazi has nothing to do with free market economics yet both are labelled as being on the right; for whatever reason fascism has become seen as far right and ‘progressives’ have become seen as far left, it seems there’s now a second scale which independent of socio-economics.

You have that wrong. Both neo-Naziism and free-market capitalism are politically right-wing, although they are not necessarily connected - although I'm sure that most neo-Nazis favour FMC rather than a centrally-planned economy.
Could you give another example of two things that are in the same position on a scale but having nothing to do with each other? Your suggestion that they can both considered far right is ridiculous and would give a rather ambiguous meaning to the term far right; does it mean free market or does it mean has the Jews?
What makes you sure that neo-Nazis would prefer a free market? The actual Nazis, the people that they look up to, had a very centralised all powerful government, the antithesis of free market capitalism.

I'm sure of that because of the socio-political nature of neo-Nazis. To be fair, they probably wouldn't understand either and would have to have them explained in simple terms like "Commie or Trump?", in which case, we both know which they would pick.

There is nothing from their behaviour that would suggest they don't reject the hatred of Jews, etc and instead embrace the Nazis' ethos of social infrastructure regeneration.

Where did I say that they don’t hate Jews? You seem to pretty keen on calling people out for not quoting exactly what you say yet you’re happy to do it to others.
My point is that you have no basis to say that neo-nazis have only retained the hatred parts and ditched the other social elements that were seen in Nazi Germany.
