Give me one country where a left wing ideology has worked in the long term.

My comment was sarcastic, there's nothing good about a totalitarian regime.

Good.

It was quite obvious from the way I phrased it and with the examples I gave, I would hope.

Its' very important that those services make a profit otherwise they cannot function, as seen most people complain about the NHS's lack of money yet if it ran for profit problemento solvento!

If that were true American healthcare wouldn't be the tyre fire it currently is.

I don't see how it's a tyre fire, it's evident that what would fix there problems is money. Better guns, more powerful hoses, quicker ambulances. There is no solution that benefits all stakeholders, often if one thing goes up another goes down like an equilibrium. In this case things would be more expensive yet it would be better, it just so happens in the UK things are less expensive yet worse.

You don't see how people dying because they can't afford healthcare is a problem caused by a healthcare that's run for profit?

As stated, there is equilibrium. There is no perfect solution. So in the case you just pointed out if healthcare was free then this problem would go away but people would be dying because of the lack of quality of healthcare, i.e. a person in critical condition who has to wait 5 hours for an ambulance.

But your example can happen in profit run versions of healthcare as well, and you can go private in this country if you want and the rates are far cheaper because to remain even vaguely viable they have to be able to compete with a service that's free at point of use.

Sure it could, it would just be far less likely to happen. Sure you can go private in this country but when an accident has just happened 99% of people would call 999 instead of a private hospital.
