How to solve this

Find x :

2/5x - 2 = 3/6x + 1

Any help is appreciated, thanks.
By 2/5x do you mean 0.4x or 0.4x^-1? It's just a bit unclear

Multiply both sides by (5x-2) and then by (6x+1) to get rid of the denominators. You'll end up with 2(6x+1) = 3(5x-2) and you can take it from there.
