I'll be starting my BA in Economics at Durham this year and need to choose selective modules for my course. The modules available for the first year are:

* The Economics of Sustainability
* Introduction to the History of Economic Thought
* Mastering Data and Computation
* Foundations of Finance
* A credit-bearing language module

The problem is that Durham's Centre for Foreign Language Study doesn't offer any of the languages I speak, so I cannot choose this module. Does anyone have any insights on the four other modules and their relative toughness? Also, I haven't studied history at either GCSE or A-Level. I would appreciate any insights.
