Vectors help?

Hi! I genuinely hate vectors and was wondering if i got these practice questions correct. I have a problem where even when I look over my work, i dont notice the mistakes ive made...

a=2i+3j-k, b=-2i+5j, c=5i-6j+2k

a) d=3a-2b , i got d=10i-j-3k
b) magnitude of d. i got root 110
c) e=5c+2a , i got e=29i-24j+8k ????
d) angle between d and e, i used d⋅e=|d||e|cos(x) and got 88.9
e) d×e , im pretty sure i did the matrix correctly (provided the above is correct) but my answer's numbers are just too big for me to happy lol, d×e=-80i-167j-211k

thank you and sorry sobbing

They look OK to me, apart from the dot product in part (d) which should just be (10)(29)+(-1)(-24)+(-3)(8).

oh sorry i should edit it, i was supposed to find the angle between d and e but thank you!!!

I got a different answer for the angle. You might want to check your working. Post it if not sure.

I used d⋅e=|d||e|cosθ ; for the dot product i got 10(29) -1(-24) -3(8) = 290
|d| = root 110
|e| = 1481 ???
and i rearranged the formula for cosθ. cosθ = 0.01867...
θ = 88.9

oh my god sorry, I realised in my working out i left out the square root sign on the 1481 :s-smilie: thank you!!
