Accomodation - Concept Place
I was just looking at the Leeds Uni Accom guide and noticed a new residence called Concept Place had been added which wasn't in the guide I got a few months ago! Does anyone know anything about this residence, what it's like etc? I googled it but it came up on a private accomodation site so I'm a bit confused!!!
Its owned buy Unite, there private halls, for anyone, over the road from opal, it only got finished in December or so, the builders used to wake me up

i just saw the concept place on the website to, like you i googled it and it was private accomodation....just wondering is it just for university of leeds students or any students....and if anyone has heard much about it? thanks
It's owned by Unite but for the next 2 years all the "normal" en suite rooms will be for Uni of Leeds students, allocated by the university. There are also some self-contained studios but these are for anyone and you get those through Unite.
It's a really nice place, all the rooms are a reasonable size and there are some deluxe rooms which are much bigger. There's a really nice common room with large screen TV, pool table and there will also be vending machines (although they weren't there when I went to look.
Because it was only finished in January, there aren't any people living there at the moment so you get the best of both worlds in September - most of it will be brand new but you know that it will definitely be completely ready - no late building works!

Both my Firm and Insurance courses are at Leeds...I loved it THAT much
My Firm is Joint Honours in Classical and English Literature and my Insurance is Single Honours in Classical Studies!!
What course have you applied for?
i wish i had thought about my offers more carefully as i would have done the same as you (firm and insurance at leeds) lol, but i didnt . Ive applied for joint honours geography and sociology...want to go to leeds sooo much!

Accommodation is so confusing, there's too many to pick from!! Ermm..I was quite liking the look of Henry Price as it's pretty much on campus which means nice quick walks to lecture!! Also James Bailie Park and now since I've seen Concept Place I'm quite liking that!! Gonna wait until I've been on the accom open day before I make my choice though! I know I definitly want to be self catered!!

I was thinking James Baillie Park, Concept Place or possibly Carr Mills (tho JBP or concept place are front runners atm lol). I would like to go on the accomodation open day but am not sure if i can make it as its quite a long way to go just to look at accomodation, tho i may end up going . Also wil be self caterd.
. Also wil be self caterd.heya my firm choice is at leeds aswell! I'm the same as you though i can't make the accommodation open day as it takes me almost 6 hours to get there . I'm pretty sure i will apply to concept place though it looks really nice and should be in really good condition coz its brand new. The kitchens have their own little lounge area with sofas aswell which is really nice for the flat to socialise in i would have thought! I'm not sure they show you round concept place though on the accomm open day

At last! Other people that like Concept Place! Its defo my first choice for accommodation at the moment. Likewise with the firm offer!
