Hi! I need help to decided whether I should firm imperial or UCL. I live closer to UCL and I've heard the location is way more student friendly than imperial. i've also heard imperial has a very toxic competitive environment, however the teaching there is better so i'm really not sure of which one to choose! please help
Hey there, thanks for posting a question in the Medicine forum.
The Medicine forum gets a high volume of questions being posted, and some of these are already answered by the resources and Megathreads that members of the community and volunteers have created. This is an automatic post which is designed to highlight these resources. Below is a list of threads and articles that could answer your question (you should be looking in the original post of the megathreads). If one of the below threads is a more relevant place to ask your question, please post a reply in that thread to ask your question. If your query is answered by one of the Megathreads or articles linked below, and you would like us to close this thread for you, please reply to this thread with just the words "thank you". That's absolute *******s btw. Imperial medicine is very friendly, there is not much open competition. People share notes and everything. Older years give us tutorials and they have made a notebank for us with notes on everything we study for all years. They are vey supportive. In fact pretty sure we have a better med community from UCL from what I've heard from my friends who study there! Med at Imperial isn't like the other courses. South Ken is quite expensive, but Hammersmith (where we spent the other half of our time) is student friendly. The accoms are better and the course structure, and organisation (from what I've heard) seems better as well, and is more reputable. It's great IMO would highly recommend!
