lse personal statement

I have heard LSE is very particular about personal statements. Does anyone have any advice on what I shoudl include and what LSE particularly looks for? I am applying for phil and econ. Is it better to talk about a book you've read from their prelimnary reading section for the course or too do a different one because a lot of other applicants might already have it?
claim (with evidence) that you have the specific skills lse say you will gain from the degree. idk exactly about the books but im currently at LSE and I haven't heard of a single person who did the preliminary readings. if anything it shows an interest and initiative if you pick ur own books.

They have fairly thorough guidance as to what they do, and don't, want included here:

Bear in mind that by tailoring it for LSE, it may make your PS less strong for your other choices. So either make sure LSE is your your preference or take into account guidance from your other unis too.
