Teaching English aborad

I would be interested in teaching English abroad particularly in Turkey / Middle East and I've heard a TEFL is the pathway to do this but some say you need CELTA etc

Where would you begin?

I have a degree by the way

Just a degree and a TEFL certificate would be ok, but any jobs wouldn't pay well.
Turkey might hire you with or without a CELTA, a language school would probably hire you, but a university wouldn't.
Typically the Middle East prefers not only a CELTA, but further qualifications.
Depends on which country you want to work in. For a well paid job in Saudi Arabia for example, you'd need teaching experience, plus a master's degree in TESOL or similar.
