AQA Power question

A hand pump was used to raise the pressure of the air in a flask of volume 1.2*10-4m^3.

Without powder pressure went from 110kpa to 135 kpa
With 0.038kg of powder, pressure raised from 110kpa to 141 kpa

find volume and density of the powder

You seem to have missed a bit of the question...

usually this sort of question assumes the same number of moles of gas are added to both flask and you need to use Boyles law to work out the difference in volume available for the gas to occupy from the difference pressure change.
