Race Relations Between Non-Muslim South Asians and Muslims
Why does the media avoid discussing the troublesome race relations between British-born Non-Muslim South Asians and Muslims? Despite the fact that most of them hate each other?
It's already well established that there are a lot of antisocial problems surrounding the locally-born Muslim community, and Islamophobia has been rising sharply in recent years (notably the mass shooting in 2011 in Norway was probably a time when one could say Islamophobia was a 'dinner table conversation).
Muslims now make up the majority of 'Asians' in the UK among younger demographic cohorts, far a very large margin. These Muslims aren't mostly Indian, but actually Bangladeshi and Pakistani - the latter should ideally be viewed as a border country that's not really South Asian and more Middle Eastern. These points will make it harder for the Non-Muslim South Asian community to accept the attempts at affirmative action and whitewashing by the media.
Furthermore, Islamophobia has been rising among youth in most of the western world - notably Islamophobia is worse in Europe/UK/CANAUSNZ than in the US among youth. This must reflect that there's a serious problem with Muslims that may not be found among first generation South Asians (remember that not all places in India have religious tensions).
I think the media should at least report on the numerous viewpoints from the diverse Non-Muslim South Asian community, and especially stop trying to whitewash and provide affirmative action to the Muslim community. At least over in Continental Europe, they still believe in an idea of being balanced and supporting all sides in an ethnic conflict...

Most of us hate each other? Probably explains the fact that my uni has a south Asian society where everyone from South Asia from all religions get on so well together socialise with each other often.
I've never been to one of those societies except for a formal first meeting.

Yes they do. The only Indians I've come across that don't hate Muslims have been anonymous on the internet... most Indians and Muslims do not get along in the UK.

Do you mean Indians “vs” Pakistanis? A massive number of Indians are Muslim. Where did you get the idea that most of them hate each other ? I live in an area with loads of Indians and Pakistanis and they get on perfectly fine

Just because they don’t talk positively, doesn’t mean they hate each-other. I don’t constantly talk positively about my friends to other people-I don’t talk about them to other people at all, this doesn’t mean I don’t like them. It’s not something they are always thinking about
I don't get where these people come from. Hindus and Muslims in LGBT hate each other too. Where are these Indians and Muslims that get along?
Because it’s a tiny fraction of the population, nobody gives a ****.

I know a Church School were most of children are Indian Christians they hate Indian Hindus. If a white British person made a similar comment about Hindus (that Indian Christians do) they would be charged with a 'hate crime'.

Being a Muslim is a choose their are white British people who are Muslims. There are Indian and Pakistani who are Jews again it their choose to Jews not be Indian/Pakistani.

Well most British Muslims live with British Muslims, most Indians live with Indians, most black Christians live with black Christians and most white people live with white people. That doesn’t mean they all hate each other. The vast majority of Muslims are not involved in crime and normal people don’t tar entire groups of people with the same brush like you do, they treat people as individuals.

Well I have many Muslim friends and they don’t hate Indians. Anecdotal evidence means nothing. Maybe the friends you and I have are not respentative of the wider group of Indians and Muslims. Not to mention that many Indians are Muslims and therefore can’t hate Indians or Muslims since they are Indians and Muslims.

It's generally accepted that Muslims and Indians hate each other among the general populace. I think even the general youth populace has Islamophobia hovering around 50%.
