Anyone have any suitable suggestions for films I can watch that are similar to House of Flying Daggers / Hero / Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon etc? I love these wuxia style films and I want to expand my experience of them

Thanks!

Curse of the Golden Flower

there's another good one, but I suddenly went blank :s-smilie: I'll post when I remember the title!
I recommend anything by Takashi Miike

Audition, Gozu, Ichi the killer, Happiness of Katakuris, 13 Assassins

All his movies are well made in my opinion

Does anyone have recommendations for some good psychological thrillers, or similar? Love this type of film, but find it difficult to find many...

If you haven't seen it then watch Copycat with Sigourney Weaver and Holly Hunter.

Its not my favourite but Spiderman 3 is something everyone should watch and cringe at for being so bad, and to be aware why a franchise has to be rebooted.
Raising Arizona (1987)

Freaking hilarious

I'm looking for a few films similar to Requiem For a Dream - not so much in terms of storyline but in terms of emotional connection! any suggestions?

Virgin Suicides reminded me of it by the way it made me feel. Also Melancholia is quite similar emotionally. If you want to watch something really hard and highly emotional, watch any of Lars von Trier's movies.

I don't have an exact order but most memorable film for me are:
Harry potter (all of them!)
Titanic
Jeepers creepers (first part only)
The core
Mean girls
Beauty and the Beast
The parent trap (the one with Lindsay Lohan)
Space Jam
The others (because it really scared the .... out of me)
The ring
Sex and the city

They really need to make a movie with the big bang theory tv series. :crossedf:

Hmmm, tough question. Possibly Goodfellas. Other possible candidates are Fight Club and A Clockwork Orange.

Curse of the Golden Flower
The Banquet
Goemon (SO GOOD)
13 Assassins

La Haine is a fantastic French film if anyone's interested. Certainly a shocking ending.
