Finding roots of equation to give frequencies? Watch

    If I had a quadratic equation, for a vibration problem and solved it to find the two frequencies, how do I know which is omega_1 and omega_2?

    eg. omega^2 + 15167omega + 15000000 = 0

    gives omega = 118 and 32.6

    but what I want to know is how do I know which is omega_1 and omega_2, for further calculations?
