Heroes English Literature

There's a 20 mark question : War has a lasting effect on those who fight in it. How does Cormier show this in the novel? So far, I've picked out Francis' "caves" are a visual effect and Arthur Rivier's crying and saying "We're not heroes" "We were just there" which shows he was mentally affected. Also, Francis has dreams about killing those boys who shouted "mama". Is there anything else I can add, with quotes? I want to get 20/20 or the high A* marks.
I don't have quotes because I did the exam a year ago, but I can name events

-When the war heroes are talking in the bar and going through the scrapbook (maybe?)
-Larry LaSalle and how he went from being a dancer and hero at the wreck centre (forgetting about the rape) to being a cripple after the war

Mention everyone. For example what about LaSalle? In the end he's a shell of his former self 'fragile and eyes sunk in sockets'
