In excotysosis secretory vesicles release their content and the lipids fuse with the membrane.
What is the secretion in which loose proteins fuse with the membrane and bud-off forming vesicles FROM membrane lipid? Thanks
An example is when the influenza virus leaves the cell following replication

There is no name for the virus thing as far as I know. But I think what you are looking for is Apocrine Secretion.

What board are you on?
All I know is that exocytosis is the process of transportation in which the secretory vesicles (containing whatever) fuse with the membrane to leave the cell.
