Do you need above ninety percent in every test to get an astar or is there an average taken?

TARS

You need 90% UMS overall for an A*. This is not an average, you need to get the total UMS x 0.9 as a mark. The actual mark you get will not necessarily be 90%, but it will have a corresponding UMS mark attached to it - which varies each year according to the difficulty of the exam.
