Hiya,
Im revising Hess's law and i need urgent help....
So whilst doing or attempting practice questions regarding hess's law for both combustion and formation, i always start the question thinking ill attempt it but i always get stuck at the following points.
So for both the Combustion and formation questions i never know what equation to write for the combustion products or the formation elements.
For the combustion products i know that its always something like; CO2 +H2O but now i need help...
so can anyone please explain to me how i can always get the write equation to then get full marks....
do i use the products or the reactants or do i use both...
Any help would be very much appreciated,,

Hi there! Check out our FREE resources that include detailed notes on Biology, Chemistry and Economics A Level, written by our specialist tutors who have attained A*s at those subjects! The notes cover Hess' Law in great detail, and will be beneficial in your general revision. Also, there are past papers sectioned by topic with model questions - have a go at them, and you will gain an insight on how these questions are asked and how best to answer them. We recommend making notes on the model solutions and going over them multiple times, until they are firmly consolidated!

www.medicmind.co.uk/resources - past papers (all specifications) with model answers, for OLD and NEW specifications and revision notes!
