I'm in Year 11 currently and one of the subjects I do is Product Design.
Our board is AQA and the subject still uses the old A*-U specification, and in addition we have coursework.
The final grade depends on your coursework grade and exam grade, with coursework accounting for 60% of the grade and the GCSE Exams only 40%.
Now we're making lamps for our projects and I'm afraid mine isn't turning out to be as good as I thought it would have.
Due to that, I think the highest I can achieve is an A in my coursework project.
However based on my Year 11 mock result, I got an A* in the exam.
TL;DR: If I get an A in my coursework, and an A* in the final GCSE, will I get an A* as my final grade or an A?
