Well OS is the same as 3OR. So now you want to effectively figure out what OR is in terms of a and b.

Note that OR = OP + PR, or we can also go along a different path OR = OQ + QR

This means that OP + PR = OQ + QR -----> a + PR = b + QR

Notice that QR = - RQ and since RQ = 2PR we have that QR = -2PR. So our equation above becomes a + PR = b - 2PR.

You can determine what PR is in terms of a and b now. Hence show the result for OS.
