Oh damnit! I thought the question was asking had the velocity vector!

No. Constant speed means no resultant force
Grade boundaries?

grade boundaries?
Would think 75-80 for A*, going down in blocks of ten for the grade boundaries.

Does anyone remember what question 2 was the values I know it was two a values multiplied together with a square root
Nah, speed was constant so resultant force had to be zero

Wasn’t q12 -390?
The y part was 0. X part was 400. And the speed was 10m/s.
Paper 1 75 for a*
Paper 2 80 a*

what did everyone get for the max value of n?
I put 2024 for the valuation of the house question ?? Think I used the rounded figures so probably wrong due to a rounding issue?
i got some massive number for the max value of n

I got 3.5 but rounded up to 4. Not sure if it’s right! My friend rounded down to 3

Since it has three distinct roots, it crosses the x axis three times. This logically means that there is a maximum above the x axis, and a minimum below it. You can use differentiation to get the coordinates of them in terms of p and q. You can form two inequalities by saying the y coordinate of the maximum > 0, and y coordinate of minimum < 0. This is two inequalities involving p and q, and you can combine and rearrange

You must round down, even if its 3.9
What were the answers for questions 14 and 15?
Original post by MagnumKoishi

I recorded 17 for both part Bs of those questions. I can't remember what the questions were, and I might have typed them into my calculator wrong tbh
how did you guys do the cosx approximation one? did you use more than the first two terms? because i ended up with like 4.9 only using first two
