Locum work in A+E

Hi everyone

If I want to locum in A+E after F2 do I need to have done an A+E rotation as part of foundation? Would a paeds block with A+E component or an acute medical job be fine as a substitute?

Previous experience is generally expected (from what I've seen) but some departments may make an exception.
Generally you need to have done an A&E post at least at FY2 level

I did A&E in my last rotation of FY1 subsequently I was rejected for the A&E bank as an FY2; I work in a large tertiary centre. I had to speak to a consultant who personally was able to override the cap after a few months.
The other option my department offers is X number of 'free shifts' and if a consultant can vouch for your competence you can be put on the bank.
