Further Maths 2023/2024!!!

Could someone help me understand how I can achieve an A* in further maths with the modules I'm doing...
AS- FP1 D1 M2
A2- FP2 FP3 S2

How much should I score minimum for each of the AS and A2 level modules in order to score an A*?

Also I've heard that FP3 is a lot harder than M2
So should I do FP3 for AS and M2 for A2 level?

Which board is this?
if this is Edexcel IAL, (I think this is the only A-level maths qualification that still uses this modular format) you'll need:

at least 480/600 UMS over all 6 modules

at least 270/300 UMS in your best three of M2, FP2, FP3 and S2

so to just throw random numbers at the wall, 86 in FP1, 90 in FP2, 87 in FP3, 83 in D1, 94 in S2, 90 in M2 would gain the A*, since you would have 530/600 (> 480) over the 6 modules, your best IA2s would be FP2, M2, S2 (FP3 would be excluded) across which you would have 274/300 (> 270).

whether you find FP3 or M2 easier depends on where your personal strengths lie, hard to say much more. M3 or S3 are alternatives if you don't want to take FP3.

the order in which you take the modules has no bearing on how you are graded. M2/FP2/FP3/S2 are IA2 modules and they will count as such regardless of whether you take them in your first or second year of study.
