is the 3y to the power of 3x?

If the question is : 3x³y-6xy+9xy²
Then the answer is : 3xy(x²-2+3y)

Factorise 3x^3y-6xy+9xy^2

Can you be a bit more precise in terms of the powers? is it 3x³y-6xy+9xy²?

If so, just think of which common factor and variables the terms have to factorise them.

I feel the same.

If the question is : 3x³y - 6xy + 9xy²
Factorise means take the common stuff out from every term , leaving the uncommon stuff (ie. Dividing each term by the common stuff taken out ) .
Then the answer is 3xy(x² -2 +3y).

To cross check the answer: multiply it out ..Will give the the question back. Then it's right.

It is not allowed to show solution processes or the solution itself, but to give clues and an advice. This rule intends to think of the questions by the students themselves, @Muttley79 certainly confirms this for you.
