Essential GCSE physics 20.4 HELP ME PLSS I BEG !!

Two trolleys are at rest and in contact on a smooth, level surface. A coiled spring in one trolley is released so that they 'explode' apart. The lighter trolley (2kg)moves off at 50cm/s. The other trolley (5kg) moves off at 20cm/s.

Find the minimum energy which was stored in the coiled spring before the release. [Hint: see Kinetic energy]

pls can somebody, anybody help me!! Momentum is plaguing my nightmares

You're going to add together the KE of the 5kg trolley and the KE of the 2kg trolley.
