Yet another manic weekend. And they're only going to get worse....

In what way was your weekend manic?

4 shows, church and a mega meeting with the director of Richard and Judy. It was a good kind of manic though, so I don't mind too much.
How was yours?

Wow. That does sound manic. Church does not sound particularly manic but then again it could have been. Mine was amazing. Terrible Friday night (but awesome) which ended up in me losing my glasses in a club and wandering home blind to try and use the internet. But yesterday my Mum came up and got me new glasses, shoes, hoodies and lunch. We saw a play as well - The Good Soul of Szechuan by Brecht. So so good. And I have access to my proper bank account now as well, so things are generally awesome. Also hair cut and dye.

Haha, church wasn't manic as such, just took up a large portion of my day!

"Grandmamma," I said, "when you were a little girl, did you ever meet a witch?"

"Once," my grandmother said. "Only once."

"What happened?"

"I'm not going to tell you," she said. "It would frighten you out of your skin and give you bad dreams."

"Please tell me," I begged.

"No," she said. "Certain things are too horrible to talk about."

"Does it have something to do with your missing thumb?" I asked.

Suddenly, her old wrinkled lips shut tight as a pair of tongs and the hand that held the cigar (which had no thumb on it.) began to quiver very slightly.

I waited. She didn't look at me. She didn't speak. All of a sudden she had shut herself off completely. The conversation was finished.
