Hey, I've just booked a place at Vet Medlink at Nottingham in December and I was just wondering if anyone else was going? Also, if you've been before what was it like?
yess im going!!! just booked now and can't wait i only know someone who has been to Medlink, but she said it was really really interesting! Really looking forward to it x
I went last year... to be honest it wasn't what I expected. I thought we actually got to do hands-on stuff and even bought my wellies. I am not exaggerating, we had lectures from 9 in the morning till 10 at night, with like 5 minute breaks in between and an hour or so for lunch/dinner so yeah it was pretty knackering! it was a good experience though as it kinda prepared you for life as a veterinary student and gave you an insight into the different areas of vet-med. and I met some great people, we were up till like 2-3 in the morning most nights lol in eachother's rooms or just generally running round riot have a good time but be ready to be really tired haha.
Ohhh i'm getting excited now I'm doing that edge session as well as it sounded quite good. I'm from Sheffield Are you all going on your own or with people you know?
hey i was thinking of booking a place at the vet medlink for december, i would be going by myself and travelling quite far, just wondering if others are in the same boat?
Im going on my own was going with a mate but he pulled out and decided he doesn't want to be a vet! Im from Felixstowe Im doing the extra bit too
I went on my own a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it. Met a group of about 6 other 'on their own people', went up, said hello and we were inseparable for the rest of the time! We're still all friends now.

I'm going on my own and so are a lot of other people I think. I'm travelling from Sheffield so its not too far. You should book it though as I'm sure you'll make new friends there and it will be worth the experience
I've heard some people say that but I'm sure it will. Either way it's still a good way to prepare you for vet school and university life
The admissions tutors these days completely ignore them due to the fact that they're so commercialised and so commonplace.
Sadly paying £300+, sitting through a few lectures and some underage drinking in the evening doesn't automatically qualify you for vet school nor does it prepare you for 9-5 days with revision, project work and EMS slapped on top.
okay i have booked my place and was gonna go down with medlink friends but as it turns out they done have the same dates this year, i have heard there is a day where people meet others a few days before the 18th? am nt sure though, and is anyone else booked onto the EDGE extra thing? also are we put into groups or something?
Woo I'm so excited for this, I'm going down on my own too and i know absolutely nobody haha I'm from Aberdeen, don't suppose anyone else is going from there, would be nice to have someone to travel with Quite keen for meeting new people so pretty psyched

Luckily my friend is also going Though Im nervous/really happy, Im actually excited to have a chance to meet some new people I'm usually super shy -.-' :L I'm doing The EDGE session too Does anyone have any idea what day/time we have to be there for??Im sure we'll get something in the post to give us more info :s annnnd do we have a room to ourselves?
