Getting a permanent job in Canada (or the US)
I should clarify something first: I've already worked in the US on a J-1 visa so I'm not interested in any info about work placements or summer jobs (although, if anyone is looking for that kind of info, you can ask).
I'm in contact with a few people in Canada (Quebec to be precise), from the time I was in North America. I'd really like to start a career there: better (relative) pay, more purchase power, quality of life... but it's tricky.
Does anyone know people who have managed to do it? As in get their work permit or permanent residence... I know the procedure to apply for a visa but not sure it all seems feasible and is worth considering (having to get my degree recognised, not sure I'd be offered a decent job...).
Any info would be appreciated.
