Part time work in Preston

I'm an incoming freshman and I'll be taking up Computing. I know that September is still very far away, but I'm planning on looking for information about the possible part time work for students in Preston (near or in UCLan).

Can UCLan help students in finding part time work? If so, what are the usual jobs available and how much is the salary per hour?

Any info would be great.

It's not the biggest place, your best bet will be bar work given you're a student.

You've got your usually city centre shops e.g. topman also restaurants such as Nandos, Pizza Hut, Pizza Express

Fast Food: McDonalds, Subway
Coffee: Costa, Starbucks

Along with cinemas and supermarkets who will probably have work going too

All in all, just typical city type jobs on a smaller scale
