I am planning of applying to pharmacy... but i havnt done any work experiane related to pharmacy.. i just wanted to ask how important is work experiance when applying to pharmacy? to unis like Lsop and kings?
Very IMO. You will have a much better chance of an offer if you have had some experience and perhaps a contribution to your referee's statement provided by the person that supervised your experience? Plus it ensures that you know what you're getting into (to some extent).
If you've got the time to put into it, then no. Just start ringing around, use any connections you can to get in somewhere, even if it's just 1 day to see how the business works.
I got offers from across the board with NO work experience (notice it's experience not " " ..iance) in the Pharmacy field. And yes, Bath/ King's where among these offers.
It's not essential, but of course it would boost you chances, especially if your grades aren't up to the mark. It gives you that extra 'something' . If you haven't got time - don't go out your way just to get some - pointless. Just say you 'plan to do some over the summer' at the Interview - worked like a treat
