Mechanics problems with newton laws ?

Can someone direct me in the right directino i'm not sure which lkaw i need to use is it f=ma ?

An ice skater of mass 65kg is initially moving with speed 2ms^-1 and glides to a halt over a distance of 10m. Assuming that the force of resistance is constant find
i) the size of the resistance force
ii)the distance he would travel gliding to rest from an initial speed of 6ms^-1
iii)The force he would need to apply to maintain a steady speed of 10ms^-1

Not really sure if you wanted the answers too....I was a bit bored so I did them, but I wouldn't trust them entirely (I can't remember much of M1)
