Scroll to see replies

Yes I'm sure women do have fantasies of being dominated. Infact biologically they want to be submissive and sexually dominated for there own pleasure and to feel desired and feminine.
Who says we have to be fantasising about US getting raped

You cannot WANT to be raped. There is no such thing as "choosing to have a fantasy about being raped" according to the actual definition of being raped (buy a ****ing dictionary, *please*!) for THAT reason. Yes, you can imagine out in your head being dominated by some random stranger or whatever, or being tied up, or treated roughly - but the whole POINT of it being a FANTASY in your damn HEAD is that *you can stop it whenever you want.* Even when this is acted out in consensual BDSM, there is a SAFEWORD so people can STOP IT WHENEVER THEY WANT. So even if someone is saying No in that case, saying the safeword still gives her the power to stop it.

The whole POINT of REAL rape is that it is NOT done with the woman's consent. Hence, you *cannot* stop it whenever you want.

This is a stupid, ****ty fail thread and frankly I'm utterly disgusted that TSR allows stuff like this.

OP, grow the **** up and don't make threads that imply women want to be raped.

The thread mentioned about why they fantasise about it, I'm not sure why you're getting angry. No one is justifying rape. Everyone knows rape is wrong, and that is why the OP is wondering why some still fantasise about it.

Id say as a guess its the thought of being dominated by the man that turns women on in regards to this.

Pinning them down, biting, throwing them around, slapping their arse, being rough etc...

Strong boner.

Im a criminology in my third year of university, im using this forum for data on my dissertation about how 'rape myths' still exist. I was forwarded this website by someone posted it on another site called 'everyday sexism'. Thank you.

I do sociology and we had a module (I refused to do due to the lecturers own sexist nature) concerning similar subjects.

Just out of curiosity what aspect of rape myth do you think this reinforces? (I'm not saying this in a backhanded way, purely academic, sorry if you misinterpret my curiosity)

I showed my own girlfriend the study and she wasn't surprised. She informed me quite a large amount of erotic fiction written for women by women often involves rape fantasies. She actually showed me one story about a woman getting gang raped by a whole bar after being slipped a date rape pill, while the story suggested the woman deep down enjoyed it. Personally I found it quite extreme and sickening but found it hard to believe how many women on this site enjoyed the story. Literally hundreds of similar erotic fiction was on the same site.

And feminist's call porn extreme and blame it for skewed perceptions on sexual relationships.

There are numerous studies showing the link between very extreme, violent porn and weird sexual fantasies. I'd search and post for links, but really, a quick Google will show you that.

I have nothing against porn and watch the "vanilla" stuff myself, but it can undoubtedly have a bad effect on those already slightly over the edge, or who don't interact with women much anyway (esp. in a sexual fashion).

If you read the news, you'll have read the story about the 12 year old boy who raped his 7 year old sister and said that he got the idea from porn. Any thoughts on that? It's not the easiest thing in the world for parents to restrict their kids from seeing, even with a firewall there are numerous workarounds.

Porn can lead to impressionable young guys getting completely the wrong idea about what women want. Including that "women like being raped." - they don't, you cannot want to be raped by the very definition; rough dominant sex is not necessarily rape. In fiction, the word "rape fantasy" is misleading bc obv the woman is choosing to write about it. The very definition of rape is that there is no choice.

Women cannot want to be raped. It's impossible, as a dictionary will tell you. Furthermore, men have no right to insist that women want it. That in itself is the sort of mindset that leads to rape.

See my earlier posts on this thread.

Yes, feminists - people who support the equal rights and treatment of women, how evil that must make you - don't like rape myths going around! Newsflash.

Yeah, this is a shining example of everyday sexism, rapey men insisting that women want to be raped and TSR allowing this lovely bull**** on their forums. I suspect such content is conveniently hidden from the advertisers whom the site makes their revenue from?

again, why are women so obsessed with being dominated ?

Cuz they like a man not a pussy
"I've got a rape fantasy that I'd love to fulfill - will you fulfill it with me?"

"NO!!!"

"That's the spirit!"

Erm it's women saying it too you know. It's not even about rape, it's about fantasizing being overpowered and dominated.

Why are you telling blatant lies and disregarding the opinions of others in this thread?

Zara: absolutely essential, refer to the work by Helen Reece (Reader in Law at LSE) that basically explodes the consensus around rape myths. One of the important things that she establishes is that the "evidence" that large numbers of people believe in rape myths is based on positivistic, quantitative research methods that are not appropriate for finding out what the respondent actually believes.

There is a blog entry (link below) with link to her article in just about the most authoritative academic journal on the topic, worldwide:

I think there is part of women that enjoys being raped that's why i think they have this fantasy

And plus the majority of rapes are made up and the women only says she was raped to get back at the guy she regretted having sex with

Most women bring rape on themselves by dressing like tarts and acting like Miley Cyrus

And plus men are more likely to get attacked anyway that is fact. In the west women r over protected, over pampered, self indulgent, selfish and trust me if women wee physically stronger than men their would be battered men all over the country

I don't hate women. I just when they talk, walk, breathe, eat, think...apart from that they are ok

I really hope you're trolling.

I really hope you're trolling.

Calling someone a troll IS trolling.

I just simply has a different ******* view but you think that anyone who disagrees is just trying to cause ****.

We should just replace the word trolling with.

"STOP HAVING A DIFFERENT VIEW OR I'LL REPORT YOU"

All your doing here is jockeying for position, as women do.

Did I say I was going to report you? No.

But I can't see any way you can justify your attitude.

Most women have rape fantasies. Fact

Most respect guys who hit them because they never leave them
Most women respect men who rape them because they never report it

Most women deserve to be raped because walking around naked is cool and all, but don't blame society, when some guys stomps on you and drags you in a dark alley and has his way with you.

They deserve it.

"Most rapists are known to the women" I hear you say, well what is she doing knowing a rapist ? And will she leave him ? No

"Oh but ...but but she's scared"

Please. Try getting a woman to do something she don't wanna. Not gonna happen

Victim blaming is the most backwards attitude to the issue. Nobody deserves to be raped, it's ****ing ridiculous to say otherwise.
