1. Expand and simplify (x+2)(x-3). Hence solve the equation 3x^2 - 3x - 18 = 0.

2. You are given two pizza options from Domino's pizza - two pizzas, each with diameter 40cm, or one pizza with diameter 60cm, both for the same price. Assuming that the pizzas are perfect circles and the thickness of every pizza is the same, explain which deal is the better option, justifying your answer in terms of area.

3. Sean has a piece of string, of length 314cm. He cuts it into 3 pieces in a ratio 7:10:3. Calculate the length of each piece, giving your answer to 3 s.f.
