y=e^x+e^-x

\frac{dy}{dx}=e^x-e^-x

\Rightarrow e^x-\frac{1}{e^x}

\Rightarrow \frac{-1+e^{2x}}{e^x}

\Rightarrow -1+e^{2x}=0

\Rightarrow e^{2x}=1

\Rightarrow lne^{2x}=ln1

I typed all this in and realised i had done nothing wrong.... i'll leave it up anyway... for someone struggling...
