Do they have speaking test in GCSE Chinese?
Like the old specification (what I did), the new specification will also include a speaking/oral exam and a writing exam as well in either Cantonese Chinese (Edexcel only) or Mandarin Chinese (AQA and Edexcel). Hope this helps.
