pleaseee help me with this physics question

figure seven: two people playing ice hockey.
player A: mass = 78kg velocity = +7.5 m/s
player B: mass = 91 kg velocity = -5.5 m/s

question:
immediately after the collision the two players move together to the right. calculate the velocity of the two players immediately after the collision.

take 1 to be player A and 2 to be player B

for final momentum (v) their masses will be combined so add them .. (169v) should be on the r.h.side

585 + (-500.5) = 169v
and solve for v

And what equation was used
momentum= mass x velocity
And I got 0.5m/s for v but it doesn't sound right
